Winter Storm

These pictures pretty much speak for themselves. We actually had a snow day from school with this one!

Winter Days

We went for a walk the other day. We got Autumn all bundled up in her cute little snow suit and headed out. She really likes to be moving whether in the stroller or in the car. It was all good going out as the wind was to our backs and she could look around. But on the way home we were walking into the wind so we had to cover her all up, she fell asleep since there was nothing to look at.

Another day Jason came to visit. They have fun together and she smiles and talks non-stop to him. As you can see they are very into their conversation, I just wish I knew what they were saying to each other.

Fun Times

So the cats seem to think that Autumn's toys are great play things. CJ can't figure out how to get to the balls in this one. If you see in the background his ball track looks similar to this toy.

See what I have mommy? It's tasty, you should try it.

Bet you wish you knew what I was telling Aunt Kelly, bet she wishes she knew too! :)

Snow Baby

Look at our snow angel! Kurt made the angel and then we plopped her in. She smiled and laughed. She liked being out in the snow.

While visiting in Osakis we got a cold family picture.

We were just having fun with the piles of snow and Autum was having a fun time too.

Timberwolves Game

We had a good time at the Timberwolves game last night. We even got home before the snow started to come down. Today it is coming down without an end in sight! It was Crunch's Birthday (the mascot) so mascots from lots of other teams came and they did lots of funny things during timeouts. During halftime they played musical chairs roller-derby style. Lots of fun. The noise didn't seem to bother Autumn much, that was good. She slept through the 3rd quarter but otherwise had fun looking around at the faces and lights and other moving things

Our Valentine

We went to a Valentine's Day dinner at our church and took Autumn with us. The dinner was lots of fun, with good friends to chat with and an entertaining game show to keep us laughing. So this is our first official family photo!

Here is Autumn after a hard day of playing and learning.

Here we are playing with her rattle, she has been tasting it and offered me a chance to try it out.

A friend gave Autumn a large stuffed elephant. It is so soft, it reminds me of the Saggy Baggy Elephant (someone has to have read that story!) She really likes to talk to her elephant!

It Is Done!

Well, it's official. Kurt has finished his CD! He has finished the artwork for the case inserts. He has put them all together. YAY!
Here you see Nero supervising the assembly of the cases. He is a great supervisor, and always makes sure that nothing runs away. We are producing these in batches. The first one is mostly sold out and the second one will be started shortly. It is so exciting to hear his music with all the other instruments and voices! Autumn likes to listen to Daddy's voice, she squeals and kicks her feet and waves her hands around when his CD is playing.

Milestones

Autumn is rolling over, holding herself up on her tummy, and grabbing toys! Yay. How fun it is to watch her grow and learn and explore. She enjoys reading with Daddy and Mommy and smiles when we make sounds to go with the pictures. The cats are really starting to notice her now that she is moving more. She kicks and squeals and just has a ball.

Baby Daze

We are enjoying our roles as new parents (middle of the night feedings and all). It is pretty easy when the baby is as good as Autumn is. She is such a happy baby and very content. She really only cries when she's hungry, wet, or her tummy hurts. Otherwise she is really starting to explore her environment. What fun to watch her notice new things and learn how her world works. She is really fascinated by the Curious George decals on her walls, and the pooh mobile on her swing. She talks to them and laughs at them. And then they apparently say mean things because she cries at them. :)

She has a new trick/talent. She can pull her own hair. She managed to get her fists around hanks of her hair and then pulled which hurt. This, in turn, caused her to cry hard, make tighter fists, and try to flail her arms, which pulled her hair, which hurt...... It took a while to get her fists out of her hair! We were both exhausted after that ordeal. There is a reason babies are born bald (well, most of them).

Curious Geroge gets lots of smiles.

I like to sit in Daddy's spot on the bed.

Autumn's Christening

Sunday was Autumn's Christening. It all went well, she was a perfect angel during the entire thing. Jason, her godfather, Kurt and I were all teary. She was sleeping and then Pastor Duane took her and she opened her eyes and started flirting with him! She loves to have her hair washed so the water part was a piece of cake for her. She wore a dress that my Aunt Jane made. All the girls of the next generation have been baptised in this dress. A new tradition, since the old dress is getting too old to use without fear of it falling apart. All of her grandparents were there and a few more family besides as well as some friends of ours. All in all it was a great day, and one that has long been awaited! Here are some pictures.

Back to Work

Well, Kurt and I are both back at work now. This week my mom has been up and staying with Autumn, next week she starts daycare. We've been busy, visiting with friends and just plain trying to figure out a routine. Ha ha ha! We are told that about the time you get a routine down it changes. She's really growing! And is starting to do more than eat and sleep. How fun to watch a little tiny human grow and learn!

A Month Already!

We can't believe that it has been a month already since we brought Autumn home! We are having so much fun with her (yes even considering the getting up in the middle of the night and the fussy times). She is moving right along development wise, her eyes are focusing more now and she is really enjoying looking at faces and at the Curious George stickers and pictures we have hanging up. She is also looking for Daddy and Mommy when she hears their voices and is starting to track people and objects. Can't wait to see what she does next. She went in for her monthly check up and was pronounced healthy and perfect. Well, we knew that already! The cats are also more accustomed to her, they sniff at her a lot and curl up near her when she is napping. They especially love all her soft and fluffy blankets. :) There are some other pictures I wanted to post but apparently they are on the computer at home and not on my jump drive here at school. Wonder where I did put them then.............hmmm
