Autumn likes to pose for pictures and thinks it funny to say cheese. She'll say it when requested and then giggle. I don't know what's so funny about that word but something sure is. We are getting closer and closer to the "terrible twos". I don't think they are really going to be all that terrible but she is definately starting to um......assert her independence and hmmm.......advocate for her rights (or what she thinks are her rights). A friend of mine went to a class where they were shown how to put their child's behaviors in a more positive light. So I'm trying.......I'm positive she's more silly and assertive and funny and cute and loving every day.

Burnsville Firemuster Parade
We walked in Burnsville's Firemuster Parade yesterday for our friend Jerry Willemburg who is running for Mayor. Autumn had lots of fun. She rode on Kurt's shoulders for about the first half and then tried walking a bit. But even though the cars drive very slowly it is much faster than her little legs can go. Towards the end she was dragging and resting in her stroller. She loved waving to all the puppies and babies she saw. I brought a camera that I had just put new batteries in, but apparently they were new dead batteries. Toward the end I rememberd that my phone has a camera so we got a couple pictures.

The Budding Photographer
The Intrepid Explorer
Autumn has been exploring her new home and some new additions to it. She got a car from some friends of ours from church, this has to be her absolute new favorite thing, she spends hours playing with it. Also we put a cat door out to the garage so that the cat's can get to their food and cat box and Autumn can't. :) See what she has been up to lately. We may not be able to get Kurt's car in the garage, but Autumn's fits nicely.
The Water Baby
Autumn sure loved playing in Glen Lake or the 'wake' and the 'wawer'. She wasn't crazy about the life jacket but after a couple of dunks we decided it was for the best and she tolerated it because it was the only way she was going to get to play in the water by herself (without an adult hovering). Again, I really did narrow the selection down but it was hard as they are all so cute.
